Silent Sea Chronicles Trilogy out now in #Audio #Audible

The complete Silent Sea Chronicles trilogy is out now in audio. That’s over 39 hours!

“…Tolkien meets Ursula le Guin. A hidden gem that I highly recommend for all fans of classic “sword and sorcery” Audible Reviewer

I love seeing the covers all lined up looking so beautiful.

I’ve been waiting for the whisper sync of each book in the trilogy to become active before posting this promo post. Whisper sync means if you own the eBook, you can buy the audiobook for a huge discount and can switch between the two versions without losing your place. I appreciate that audiobooks can be expense, so this is a great option I have used a few times myself.

“…The unique spin on fantasy and magic is wonderful. There are several events and storylines beautifully woven together. Absolutely brilliant, I cannot wait for more.” Audible reviewer.

Another option open to you is to become an Audible subscriber. I believe you can get one or two free books within your free month trial period. You can cancel at any time, but if you find you love audiobooks and start your subscription using the link below, both myself and the narrator will be given a bonus from Audible at not extra cost to you. “I love how Susan Rogerson always has you on the edge of your seat and threw out three books of more than 30 hours long it never ceases to be dull boring and the ending is so worth the wait. I loved this book and I love George Ellington’s narration…” Audible reviewer

Here’s a trailer of book 1 to give you a taste of George’s narrator style

“…oh my goodness, I must gush about this voice! George Ellington’s smooth Scottish accent gave the story a medieval highland feel that I think suited it very well…” Audible reviewer

Another book birthday and Ad experiments #fantasy #fantasypromo

Yes, I know it’s another book birthday post, but I’m super proud of The Sentinel’s Alliance reaching it’s first birthday today. It was such a special feeling to finally finish publishing the trilogy and receiving such wonderful reviews from readers and book bloggers. Now I just need readers to find it!

With that in mind I’ve been experimenting with Ad’s over the weekend, trying to find the right combo for Facebook ads to promote the box set.

Here’s a couple I’ve designed, let me know what you think.

I’ve also played with a few for the first book.

What do you think about promo’s, is it better to focus on the first book in a series or the whole box set?

I still have lots of work to do making my ad’s but I’d love some feedback at this early stage and before I start actively promoting it.

Also…

Have you read the box set? Would you consider leaving reviews on Amazon / Goodreads / Bookbub or where ever you feel comfortable posting them? I love to share quotes from reviewers and I hope to pick a few to add to my ads.

Thanks for your time.

I need your help! Vote for Silent Sea Chronicles box set cover #fantasy #trilogy

I am about to prepare the box set for my Silent Sea Chronicles trilogy but one major factor is holding me back. What should I use for the cover image?

I would love some feedback from you all so please vote on the poll below to show which cover you would recommend using on the box set image.

Here are the options:

I have my favourite, but what’s yours?

The Sentinel’s Alliance is 1 month old! #fantasy #bookreview excerpts

The month since The Sentinel’s Alliance was released has been a hectic one.

I’ve thrown myself into the task of finding my audience in the local community with things like a market stall, a pop up craft shop in my local shopping centre, attending a WI meeting with a view to doing a talk for a local group in the coming months and I’ve also met up with a group of local business women who help and support each other.

I’m hoping to be interviewed on local radio and am still trying to get my books into the local libraries. I’ve also signed up to be a part of Hastings Litfest on 31st August where I’ll have my own book stall. I’m looking forward to being in the birthplace of my hero and writing legend David Gemmell. Let’s hope the people of Hastings are up for some new fantasy blood!

I’ve had lots of reviewers and bloggers supporting my trilogy and posting their thoughts this past month. I can’t tell you how nerve-wracking it was to publish the last book in the trilogy. The fear that I had got something wrong has been blown away by their wonderful reviews. I shared a few snippets in this publication day push wrap up post, and today I thought why not celebrate the publication month by sharing a few more.

Angela – Pooled Ink ReviewsThe Sentinel’s Alliance is a thrilling conclusion to this unique trilogy of fantasy, magic, destiny, secrecy, and war. Characters come and characters go all while battle is waged for the future of magic in the isles of the Silent Sea. Exciting, determined, and satisfying, this series is one any fantasy reader might enjoy.’

Karen – My train of thought ‘I was drawn into the story right away – very close to Tei, Brogan, and some wonderful allies, highly appreciating their integrity. As I assumed after reading the first book, I got closer to Tei in the second instalment because she has gained a little more maturity; this third instalment turned her into a friend. I could easily envision the characters and locations. I had a great time reading “The Sentinel’s Alliance”. It is a very enjoyable read; a more than worthy completion of the ‘Silent Sea Chronicles’ trilogy.’

Sofii – A Book. A ThoughtIn this third book, we can appreciate more the alliances that have been forged during the previous books, in addition, there are many more characters, some new one and some who return to make our hearts happy. I think that Tei, Brogan, and Farrell are all characters that, although they’re very different from each other, achieved great growth and seeing how each one fights against their own demons while trying to fight for a common good, is sensational. I also enjoyed the dynamics and relationships between them, it was very entertaining to read.’

Great quotes aren’t they!

I’d love for the series to get some more exposure and I’d love to see some more reviews going up so other readers can see the series is worth their time. Are you up to the challenge?

Check out the Silent Sea Chronicles on Amazon and Goodreads.

Now I must get back to my holiday in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

Wrap up post Pt 3 of The Sentinel’s Alliance Publication day #bookreviews #fantasy #trilogy

This is my last wrap up post and will be highlighting the brilliant reviews that came in on 6th July for The Sentinel’s Alliance. As it’s the last part in the trilogy I was very nervous how the day would go, especially as 14 bloggers were reviewing, but I’m so happy to say the conclusion to the series was well received.

I’ve loved reading the reviews again and reminding myself that I really did achieve a whole trilogy. Not only that but a lot of people seemed to like it, some even loved it! That has made me very happy indeed.

First a spotlight post from Satisfaction for insatiable readers.

Now the reviewers blog links and quotes…

Radzy Writes – ‘…this is a strong novel in an excellently written series, and one I enjoyed a lot. If you’ve fallen head over heels for this series so far, I think you’re going to devour this novel.’

Mai’s Musings – ‘…amongst her beautifully crafted world, Suzanne Rogerson has created a story that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, and I couldn’t read the book fast enough to answer all the questions forming in my mind.’

J Bronder Book Reviews – ‘This is a great conclusion to the series… I have really enjoyed this series and strongly recommend it to those that enjoy fantasy stories. There is a little bit of everything in these books. I can’t wait to read more from Suzanne Rogerson.’

K T Robson – ‘This has been a fantastic finale to the trilogy, it’s had everything that made the first two books to good and then some. All of Suzannes brilliant world building skills are still shining through… I have loved watching the characters grow and develop throughout this trilogy, and it was great seeing them band together for the final instalment.’

Seans book reviews – ‘The conclusion to this series was one of ups and downs.  The characters are still strong and ones that I will remember for a long time.’

Jessica Belmont – ‘I love this series, and I’m sad to see it end. I took longer to read this one, because I wasn’t ready to leave this world or these characters. I love Suzanne Rogerson’s writing. I can’t wait to read more from her. I highly recommend this series! You won’t want to miss it!’

The Treasure within – ‘This book was EVERYTHING I’d hoped it would be. I’ve loved the first two books of the series, and was very happy indeed with how everything worked out in this one. I’ve fallen in love with pretty much the entire cast of characters, and by now, want the best for all of them. That, I’d say, is a sign of a good bit of writing!’

Yes more blogs – ‘WOW!! Unbelievable. Amazing. Brilliant. Wonderful. Beautiful. Just a few words to describe not just this book but the whole trilogy has been an undeniably amazing read… The world building is some of the best I’ve read. With a little bit of your own imagination you are transformed into a beautiful magical world. That has it’s highs and lows like any good story. I’m usually quite good at where a book is headed but this has lots of surprises, twists and turns which had me up most nights as I had to know what was going to happen.’

Pagefarer book blog – ‘…her skill lies in intertwining separate storylines, and in writing truly dislikable (yet sometimes nuanced) bad guys – and vice versa. She is still not shy about killing off main characters – which I quite enjoy!’

Terror Tree – ‘As I was reading this story, I thought I knew where this story was going, but there were a few surprises that I did not see coming and I did spend time just sitting in amazement at what I had just read. This series has been a great read and I have enjoyed watching all the characters grow and adapt to whatever was thrown at them.’

In de Boekenkast Link to review on facebook – ‘What a captivating and lovely fantasy book! …This fantasy series is fast paced, amusing and original with a lot of unexpected situations, characters that grow with every book and an intriguing plot line.’

Novel Kicks – ‘The writing is relaxed and easy to read, the story is well paced and doesn’t dawdle; keeping you drawn through the book. The characters are likeable, if a little thin in places, but all in all they are well formed.’

Cheryl M-M Book Blog – ‘It’s fantasy with a compelling plot and intriguing characters. Rogerson threads an undercurrent of romance throughout the fantasy, which then invites readers of other genres in for a read.’

Odd Socks and Lollipops– ‘…I love the world that Suzanne Rogerson has created and I was so not ready to leave the characters behind. The Sentinel’s Alliance is a wonderful conclusion to the series…  The writing style was wonderfully immersive and the world building built on the earlier books brilliantly. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series and I cannot wait to read more from Suzanne. If you like epic fantasy stories, then I would definitely recommend the Silent Sea Chronicles, they are a fantastic example of the genre.’

Wow, I’m overwhelmed with these reviews and feel so honored these bloggers agreed to read and take part in the publication day push. I hope you’ve enjoyed these snippets and have had a chance to check the reviews in more detail.

If you’ve been inspired to try the trilogy over the last few weeks of reviews and posts, then the good news is I will be keeping the sale price of each book in the trilogy at 99p for a few more days.

Thanks for reading and thanks again to those who took part, and to Rachel for organising everything.

A QUICK PLEA TO EVERYONE – If you have read any of my books would you consider putting a quick review on Amazon and Goodreads?

I plan to approach the libraries about stocking my books and would love to be able to show them how much people have enjoyed the trilogy. I’ve also entered the Amazon storyteller prize. I doubt a third book would get very far in the competition, but its always worth a try. Thanks very much.
