Here is something a little different. Guy Barnes, the narrator of my standalone fantasy Visions of Zarua, has done a live recording of a scene from the book. Check it out on YouTube (https://youtu.be/olzxocUjNFo)
It looks and sounds great, doesn’t it!
And whilst I’m in a sharing mood, here’s an audio sample.
‘…the narration was excellent! Guy Barnes does a great job of creating distinct, believable voices for each character, with fine pacing and emotive enough to evoke more detailed imagery and experiences in the thoughts of listener while following along in this grand tale.’ Reviewer quote on Audible.

Suzanne Rogerson – Author of epic and heroic fantasy
I’ve been so busy editing my new project and reading how-to books on writing a series that I’ve completely forgotten to share some great events that are taking place at the moment.
Firstly, Visions of Zarua is on sale for a limited time at just 99p worldwide on Amazon.
With the audiobook also out, you can get a huge discount if you purchase both. An audiobook for just £2.99 is a bargain! Audible.
I’m also excited to announce that the first audiobook tour will be taking place in November with Audiobookworm. Here’s the tour link to check the details and sign up.
The audiobook has only been out a few weeks and we’re eager to see what listeners think, so if you fancy a free review copy why not sign up and join in the fun in November.
Here’s a sample of George Ellington in action…
If November is too soon to commit to listening and reviewing fear not, there will be more opportunities in January 2021 in the form of a 1 day blitz with Rachel’s Random Resources. More details on this to follow.
And I’m excited to say the production of book 2 The Sentinel’s Reign is coming on really well, fingers crossed we can get it out before Christmas.
I hope to share news of my new project very soon, so watch this space.

I’ve been looking into advertising my audiobook (soon to be audiobooks!) but I’m struggling to find ways to do it.
Then I realised I haven’t posted about the book for a while, so I’d like to share it with you now and offer my readers the chance to listen for free. All I ask as that you consider leaving a review on Audible, Amazon, Goodreads, wherever you feel comfortable posting.
To tempt you here’s a sample performed by the very talented Guy Barnes.

I’m excited to announce a new audio blog tour for Visions of Zarua will be coming your way 5th – 11th April, thanks to Audiobookworms Promotions.
Part of the information I needed to supply was a soundcloud excerpt from the book. This is something new to me, but I’m happy to report how easy it was to set up. I’m hoping to gather some more samples to upload, but for now I wanted to test how it posts on my social media accounts. Please have a listen and let me know what you think.
Over the last five days lots of lovely bloggers have been reviewing the audiobook of Visions of Zarua and I’m excited to share a few snippets from their posts, plus links to the in depth reviews. Here’s a reminder of those involved.
Mai’s Musings ‘Having discovered Suzanne’s Silent Sea Chronicles earlier this year and fallen totally in love with them, I was excited to see what Visions of Zarua had to offer. I approached this book with extremely high hopes and I wasn’t disappointed. Although narrated by a male narrator, I found that Suzanne’s signature style and writing voice resonated throughout, giving me, as a fan of her work, a familiar, welcoming feel that absorbed me instantly. Once again her exquisite attention to detail shines through…’
Rev. Rebecca Writers: Read, Write, Pray ‘I found this book to be fresh and unique because the author combines my favorite elements of fantasy with an engaging and suspenseful mystery. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t stop listening…’
In De Boekenkast ‘I loved this book set in a world full of imagination and amazing characters. The audiobook with the wonderful storyteller is amazing and gives the mystery set a special touch…’
Writing with Wolves ‘If you like original & deeply detailed fantasies with magic & assassins then you seriously need to give this book a read… or a listen!’
Jess Bookish Life ‘The narrator had a type of voice that grabbed my attention, and following all the POVs and all the characters was even more fun, especially when I would close my eyes and imagine what was being narrated. It allowed my imagination to run wild by just listening…’
Splashes into Books ‘The narrator for the audiobook version has a fantastic, clear and expressive voice for bringing the story to life in the imagination of the reader, making it clear just who is talking and using a variety of cadence to keep the listener engaged and enthralled. Even though I’d read the story and remembered much of what happened (which shows how well written it is) I still listened with eager anticipation to the audiobook version.’
Reviewsfeed ‘Guy Barnes’ narration of the storyline. Can I say, he does a fantastic job of bringing each of the characters, major or minor, to life. Each is distinctively unique in the persona he has given them. The variety of accents he pulls off consistently is amazing too.’
Donnasbookblog ‘I thought that this was a well written and well developed fantasy story with an added element of mystery and it really had me hooked right from the start.’
Alistenersslant ‘I loved everything about this from the first word to the last, I was drawn in and hooked and didn’t want to leave. The characters, the setting, the sights, sounds and descriptions well all right on the money.’

It’s wonderful to see that the audiobook has been so well received, but I shouldn’t be surprised as Guy Barnes made such a brilliant job of the narration. If you missed it, here’s a sample.
Thanks as always to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources who arranged the blog tour for me and thank you again to all the reviewers involved.
