BOOK DESCRIPTION

The magical island of Kalaya is dying, along with its Sentinel. With the Kalayan people turning their back on magic, can Tei help the exiles find their new Sentinel before it’s too late?

Kalaya is controlled by the Assembly – set up to govern but now under the control of Rathnor, who is intent on persecuting those who have magic, many of whom have taken refuge in the Turrak Mountains.
Tei has been raised to hide her magic, until her father, Migil, is visited by an old friend who warns them that they must seek refuge in the mountains.
On the journey, an enemy attack leaves her father mortally wounded. He sees her into the care of two exiles, Rike and Garrick, and on his deathbed makes a shocking confession that changes Tei’s life.

The Lost Sentinel #blogtour Wrap up #TuesdayBookBlog #fantasy http://mybook.to/LostSentinel

It has been a manic few months of planning, answering questions and dreaming up guest posts, but now the blog tour has come to an end. I’ll keep checking back over all the posts and replying to any comments, but right now I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who took part, everyone who liked, commented and shared, and of course thanks to those who were kind enough to review my new book.

small blog tour header

I do have a big apology to make to two bloggers, who I included in the tour to post reviews, but due to email errors at my end they hadn’t been aware they were actually supposed to post reviews on these dates. Sorry Susan – Books from Dusk till Dawn and Mirjana – Oloriel Moonshadow/Cyanide and Cherries. Yahoo has been doing some funny things with my emails, and somehow I didn’t realise these two slipped through and were not sent / received. Running a blog tour with 17 bloggers over 16 days, it was inevitable something would go wrong, but still… I should have been on top of it.

Below, I’ve added links to each post over the 16 day blog tour, so please check out any you may have missed.

Finally, I will be taking a break from blogging. Everyone is probably fed up of these posts by now anyway, and I really want to get on with book 2 while the kids are still at school. Only 3 and half weeks to go! I need to put in some serious writing time.

Thanks again to everyone for your support.

As promised, here’s the link to my guest post on Louderthansilver.

I hope you enjoy seeing how writing has influenced my learning. And in case you missed it yesterday, I posted some photos of the birds of prey I visited a few weeks ago in the name of research (and because I love them).

Join me again tomorrow for the last day of the blog tour.

5.0 out of 5 stars great beginning to a fantasy series, can’t wait to read the rest!, June 16, 2017

I’m looking to get more reviews on Amazon, so if you have read it, or are intending to read, please consider leaving a review in the future. It only takes a few minutes and doesn’t need to be an essay, unless you want to write one that is. Goodreads has 7 reviews so far (not bad after only a week of publication!). You can click on the link above to read these reviews.

Next weekend I’ll be holding my second ever book event! A pirate themed school fair, which fits my book perfectly. I’ll post up some pictures and share how the day went.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and I hope you can join me for the last few posts of the blog tour.

Interview with Suzanne Rogerson + Guest Post! The Lost Sentinel Blog Tour

Today’s stop on The Lost Sentinel’s blog tour is at ‘The Royal Polar Bear Reads’ for an interview and Guest post on Why Authors Need Book Reviewers.

THE ROYAL POLAR BEAR READS

INTERVIEW

Hi, Suzanne! First of all, Thank you for letting me be a part of your blog tour and this is a wonderful opportunity!

I’m really pleased you’ve agreed to join The Lost Sentinel’s blog tour.

First question! Can you tell us why did you want to be a fantasy author and how did you become one?

I’ve always wanted to be an author, I just didn’t know what I wanted to write until I read my first fantasy novel at the age of 17. The genre encompasses everything I love in fiction, plus I get to create whole worlds, magic systems, races of people and their histories.

To get to the stage I felt good enough to self-publish took many years of learning my craft. I have completed online courses, attended evening creative writing classes, I’ve used critique services and made friends with fellow writers who are now my…
