Update to About Me 11/10/20.
I’ve been self publishing for a few years now. There have been many ups and downs to the experience but I wouldn’t change a thing, though I wouldn’t mind selling a few million copies and reaching best seller status!
I’m really proud of my books – Visions of Zarua, The Lost Sentinel, The Sentinel’s Reign and The Sentinel’s Alliance. I’ve loved the reviews coming in from readers and reviewers over these past 5 years. They spur me on when I get stuck, or when the sales charts have flat-lined.
My first book Visions of Zarua has had a Czech translation deal and was published in 2019 alongside my writing hero Robin Hobb! I never would have dreamt that possible when I first took the plunge in 2015.
Writing is a lonely business and I love to connect with readers, bloggers and other authors. You can get in touch via the contact me form, and why not take a look at my Amazon Author Central page and my Goodreads profile.
Thanks for visiting.
Author Bio…
Suzanne lives in Middlesex, England with her hugely encouraging husband and two children.
She wrote her first novel at the age of twelve. She discovered the fantasy genre in her late teens and has never looked back. Giving up work to raise a family gave her the impetus to take her attempts at novel writing beyond the first draft, and she is lucky enough to have a husband who supports her dream – even if he does occasionally hint that she might think about getting a proper job one day.
Suzanne loves gardening and has a Hebe (shrub) fetish. She enjoys cooking with ingredients from the garden, and regularly feeds unsuspecting guests vegetable-based cakes.
She collects books, loves going for walks and picnics with the children and sharing with them her love of nature and photography.
Suzanne is interested in history and enjoys wandering around castles. But most of all she likes to escape with a great film, or soak in a hot bubble bath with an ice cream and a book.
Thanks for taking the time to visit and follow, Susan ๐

Hi, Thanks for liking my comment on another blog. Your book sounds so interesting, I love fantasy too and I also love wandering around castles, especially when there aren’t many tourists also visiting. ๐

Thank you for checking out my blog and your comments about my book. It’s always nice to get feedback and know I’m on the right track!
I agree about the castles without too many tourists – sometimes I wish it could just be me and my imagination.

Yeah, I love standing in a quiet spot in a castle and just soaking up the atmosphere. Love to imagine myself in the past, does that sound weird?
Good luck with your book! Hope you have great success with it. I hope to read it in the future and review it :). I’ve only recently joined wordpress (new to blogging in general) and didn’t realise there were so many nice people here :).

Greetings Suzanne. I wish you every success with the pursuit of your dream. It’s always encouraging to me when I see other people brave enough to go for it. I hope to go the self-published route myself in the not too distant future.
Your book Visions Of Zarua certainly sounds like it’s right up my street. I’ll be sure to add it to my โto readโ shelf the next time I log into Goodreads. ๐

Thanks for your comments and for following me.
I certainly recommend self publishing, though the hardest part is marketing. I would suggest building up as much buzz as you can about your book before releasing it and make the most of the pre-order stage.

Suzanne, so glad you have a supportive family, that makes all the difference. And, I would say you do have a “proper job.” Raising children is the biggest job you’ll ever have. My hats off to you for all you’ve accomplished. Congratulations on your books and welcome to the Cow Pasture Fence Jumpers. You’re always welcomed here. @sheilamgood at Cow Pasture Chronicles
