Ashford, Middlesex England

Bio: I live in Middlesex with my hugely encouraging husband and two children. I wrote my first novel at the age of twelve. I discovered the fantasy genre in my late teens and have never looked back. Giving up work to raise a family gave me the impetus to take my attempts at novel writing beyond the first draft, and I'm lucky enough to have a husband who supports my dream - even if he does occasionally hint that I should get a proper job. I love gardening and have a Hebe (shrub) fetish. I enjoy cooking with ingredients from the garden, and regularly feed unsuspecting guests vegetable-based cakes. I collect books, love going for walks and picnics with the children and sharing with them my love of nature and photography. I'm interested in history and enjoy wandering around castles. But most of all I like escaping with a great film, or soaking in a hot bubble bath with an ice cream and a book.

      • Yeah, I love standing in a quiet spot in a castle and just soaking up the atmosphere. Love to imagine myself in the past, does that sound weird?

Good luck with your book! Hope you have great success with it. I hope to read it in the future and review it :). I’ve only recently joined wordpress (new to blogging in general) and didn’t realise there were so many nice people here :).

  1. Greetings Suzanne. I wish you every success with the pursuit of your dream. It’s always encouraging to me when I see other people brave enough to go for it. I hope to go the self-published route myself in the not too distant future.

Your book Visions Of Zarua certainly sounds like it’s right up my street. I’ll be sure to add it to my โ€œto readโ€ shelf the next time I log into Goodreads. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Suzanne, so glad you have a supportive family, that makes all the difference. And, I would say you do have a “proper job.” Raising children is the biggest job you’ll ever have. My hats off to you for all you’ve accomplished. Congratulations on your books and welcome to the Cow Pasture Fence Jumpers. You’re always welcomed here. @sheilamgood at Cow Pasture Chronicles
