Warwick Castle is a wonderful place for a writer to wander, soaking up the atmosphere and reliving history through the re-enactments. I’ve captured many images of Warwick Castle over the years and its been hard to narrow down my selection of photos to a few. I decided to share a few of the castle itself, but to mainly focus on the re-enactments which are lots of fun to watch.

I went to school in UK. I loved my visits to Warwick Castle. Lovely to see such wonderful images. And yes, it is a place of great inspiration.

Thank you. I went to Warwick once as a child, but the place stayed with me and I was so happy to start visiting it with my own children.

Wow, the day I went to Warwick castle, and it was quite a few years ago, they didn’t have any reenactments, just lute players. So pictures of those are so wonderful to see. The whole castle has so much to see one day doesn’t feel like enough. I still remember visiting the dungeon among other things !
Do they still have peacocks there?

They did have peacocks last time. I remember them trying to steal my daughter’s cheesy wotsits. I had a few shots of them, but too many pic’s to share.

I remember peacocks in a tree! I thought geese and gulls were the only naughty stealing birds.

Oh, I love Warwick Castle! Had lots of fun times there, plus the history is just fantastic. They were firing off the trebuchet one time when we were there 🙂

I think we saw the last minute of the trebuchet once, I would have loved to have seen it properly.
All this talk of Warwick makes me really want to go back there now!

Yes, it’s a great place, isn’t it, and a lovely town. We even looked at living there at one point, as it’s quite close to my parents, but work conspired to bring us south instead.

We looked at living in Ross-on-Wye before the kids came along. Beautiful place, and much closer to Warwick.
It was work that kept us here too!

Oh yes, Ross-on-Wye is lovely – I’d always imagined us living somewhere like that. Oh well, you have to go where the work is, don’t you? 🙂
